For a start, you should never ever just "assume" your safe..
that is crazy!!! the brown discharge could be that discharge you normally get before your periods or it could be implantation bleeding. But if you think you could supect your pregnant, go and buy a home pregnancy test. If your still worried about this, and if your periods don't come go and see your doctor!!!
