Post subject: Health minister concerned by escapes

South Australian Health Minister Lea Stevens says three escapes from secure medical facilities in the past week are a cause for concern.

The Government has ordered a review of security after the escapes.

The last of the three escapees was returned to James Nash House last night after transit police found him at the Adelaide railway station.

Matthew Beck, 29, had been convicted of robbery with violence. He escaped from Glenside Hospital's secure Grove Ward on Thursday.

Ms Steven says the Government will work on further improvements to security at Glenside Hospital.

"It does concern me that people who are in closed situations, secure situations, have been able to leave the property," she said.

"That's why the Government has put in $800,000 improving security and will continue to make further improvements, as we look at the incidents that have occurred over the last week or two."
