We had a discussion about sea veg (seaweed, etc.) a while back. We haven't touched on this topic recently, so I want to bring this up again. Do you like sea veg (seaweed, etc.)? Do you eat them often?

I've actually been thinking of getting a few recipes & start having a few seaweed dishes for a change.

Can you recommend anything (ideally where I can go fetch the ingredients myself)?

Well, seaweed is a kind of weed, so it grows everywhere. You should be able to get seaweed in South Africa somewhere. As for seaweed dishes, if you like salad, you can make seaweed salad. That's an easy one, and if you like seafood, you can put (boiled or steamed) fish and other seafood as well. You can make it seafood salad. Soup is also easy to make.

But what kinds of seaweed do you recommend? And are there kinds to seriously avoid when going "seaweed picking"?

... are you going to pick seaweed instead of buying one?

Unlike plants and trees, I don't think there is any seaweed that you need to avoid.

Seaweed is indeed very nutritional, especially if picked straight from the sea. I quite like it cooked. Mmmmm

That is also very tasty. I make sushi from time to time. Do you?

I eat sushi about 3 times a week. Started eating sushi a ton when I lived in NYC and continued until this day.
We never made it at home, but we have talked about doing that!

It's definetly far cheaper, and you can be as creative as you want, when adding on ingredients. Very Happy
