Post subject: Professional advice - or figure it out yourself
I have a very good knowledge of how to lose weight and gain the muscle that I want. However I am still going to see a trainer, and pay him to tell me what I SHOULD be doing.
I think that it is a physcological thing. I want someone else to tell me what to do to lose the weight and gain the muscle. It is only an hour session and it costs somethign like $40 and I like to do it every 3 months. He measures me and then tells me where I need to work on. It motivates you to go to the gym every day so that you can show the guy that you where working out, and not JSUT saying you were.

I totally agree with you. I signed up for the menshealth.com e-newsletter to get it weekly. Even though I don't learn too many things new now, it still provides me with constant motivation

When I used to go to a gym, I took some exercising classes like Spinning class and Cardio boxing class. I took two or three classes a week. One of reasons is that exercising in those classes is motivational. Funny thing. I didn't really know anyone, and they didn't know me, yet ... we all had the same goal, and we felt like we can do it when we were exercising together.

I use gmail, which has nearly perfect spam filters. So if I've gotten any extra spam I haven't noticed

Hiring a personal trainer is not a bad idea. Taking an exercise class or two is not a bad idea, either.
