Post subject: Anyone else like me?
Hey all just making a thread to see if anyones like me.
Is anyone into listening to some good old music Like Journey or Honeymoon Suite and those old bands on a loud stereo while just high on life or wtv you wanna be on and just laying into a couch and melt into it while the music just takes you away into your own world?
Now Im a metal head who listens to death metal and all but man do I love playing some good old music like what ive mentioned and Pink Floyd and so on?
It feels SO good on a nice quality 7.1 surround sound loud alone with this music makes me go to a completely different planet and you know what? I wish I was always there and when I return to earth when the musics over im just like aww why can't it always be this good?
Even now while im here feeling really down because of my two close deaths and I go to this world I just feel SO damn good it's incredible!
Now im only 15 so I wasn't around then but man do I wish I was around back in the day.

I too listen ot music for similar reasons but it depends on the mood - if i feel down and miss my mom I listen to John Denver... If I want to be inspired by the complex poeitc lyrics of Bob Dylan then its him, but if I just want to zone out and be happy and sing along... nothing beats the Beatles....

Bob Dylan is amazing, I could just lie there listening for hours to his music, the acoustic stuff anyway, but not the electric...

i guess the 15 minutes rambling songs are well written, but i get bored very quickly with his music and songs. I love them for the first few minutes and then............

He's got to be one of the greatest poets in American poetry/songwriting - that whole "dylan goes electric" thing, I agree, did stink - but his other stuff was amazing - especially in the early and middle 60's.

Yeah, he got booed of the stage when he started playing his electric stuff live, the acoustic is brilliant anyway.

I love "the D"
they are amazing - i miss the HBO show - the movie was okay but not great. Jack Black is turning out to be quite a decent actor too... We just watched him in "The Holiday" and he was really good - He's been in other flicks too... School of Rock, etc... I think he's all around talented.

i think Jack Black is a better actor then he is in Tenacious D, which I find endlessly silly and pointless.

They are pointless and silly - but they're actually very talented... they harmonize really well and they are well above average musically - and their lyrics are really funny...
