Do you really need it? I get on average around 4 to 5 hours of sleep a day. When I'm lucky I sleep for 7 to 8.

Do you think that less sleep can make you more inclined to get sick?

I sleep about 4-5 hours a night for weeks in a row, and then crash and sleep about 12-14 hours straight, lol

I'm still planning on trying out that polyphasic sleep routine. I need a couple of weeks off work to get into it though.

on sleep, lately I have been very erratic. i will wake up at 3 or 4am and not be able to go back to sleep and just start working. i will sleep about 3-4 total hours still. i wish I could actually get BACK to sleep after waking up. I wish I could figure out why I am waking up in the first place.

I'm sporadic with my sleep schedules normally but I've been getting to bed around 12 to 1 AM and geting 6 to 7 hours lately. I like the 6 to 7 range but get so drained if I get 8 or more.

LOL I didn't say regularly. Just the past 2 days but the 2 hours is really nice.

Eventually I have to go to sleep but I can push myself pretty far. I go on stretches of being up 48 hours at least once a week sometimes.

I've been getting back into 4 to 5 max... 6 or 7 is perfect but can never do it.

As an insomniac, I can't say it's all that funny. Sometimes I'm able to sleep, almost like a regular person (which means falling asleep within 2 hours), but most of the time it's not that easy.
The problem is falling asleep. It's like my mind doesn't want to stop working, while my body is exhausted. There have been many days I woke up, frustrated as hell for not being able to fall asleep. Then I'm a zombie for a whole day.
I have this since I was a baby. I have learned to live with this .
