It seems like drug to cure every single disease and medical condition is being introduced lately. Now we have anti obesity drug. Sanofi-Aventis is the company that produced the drug; they are currently testing the drug, and they just reported that they had successful result in its experiment. If this really works, we no longer have to worry about gaining weight???

Pills may work in some way. I happen to know someone who was taking pills that basically take away your appetite. I don't get into too much detail as it concerns his/her privacy, but the way you lose your weight by taking those pills isn't exactly normal, that is, he/she did not lose very healthy. I happen to believe that there will be drugs that you can affectively lose weight if there isn't any today. However, I also believe that it is probably not the best answer to lose weight as you lose weight to be in better and healthier shape.

I'd like to know what those pills do.

Appetite suppressants aren't a good idea in my opinion because they may suppress your appetite too much.

Now, if they help you produce more fat inhibitors, then that may be a good solution, provided they grow in the right spots like your legs and not your heart or liver.

It would be scary if these pills affect your heart and liver also. The more I think about, the less I feel enthusiastic about these pills. It's not that I need to lose weight, but I still don't feel great about the fact that these drugs are coming to the market.

Well, the demand is there, and the demand drives this.

Joking aside, apparently diet programs on the internet are becoming more and more popular. You don't lose weight by typing, but you check what you eat, what you do, etc. on the internet. Participate in discussing groups and meet other people in chat rooms to motivate each other, etc.

I can believe that could help. When I was running quite a lot, I used a program to monitor by performance. It allowed by to calculate how many miles I'd done that week, what my pace was for those miles, how much I was improving, and so on.

I'd guess that being able to readily input and calculate the facts could be quite motivational.

That could be a good idea, although I do enjoy my food too much so I'd need lots of persuasive motivation...

There is probably nothing wrong with enjoying eating; it's quite healthy actually. Addicted to eating is probably a problem, and "Addicted" may be a more appropriate word to describe the problem. Drinking over a liter or 1/3 of a gallon of soda is not normal, and no matter how much you like soda, it is hard to claim that you enjoy drinking soda so much that you drink a liter or 1/3 of a gallon of soda. There is nothing wrong with eating a pie, but you have to see some problem if you eat the whole pie as a desert.
