It's a nice idea but I can't help thinking that the rewards would be greater from AdSense. That said, though, two of our forums get very little in the way of AdSense income.

Yahoo is apparently coming up with their version of AdSense. Did you hear that? |

No, I hadn't heard. That sounds very interesting. What I think the Web badly needs is a good competitor to AdSense. I've always imagined this would come from either MSN or Overture. Since Yahoo! bought Overture (I think), I guess this makes sense.

Overture is a competitor, kind of. I say "kind of" because Overture only works with publishers who can provide millions of impressions+ to Overture. I kept wondering when Overture or Yahoo will come up with the version for little boys and girls, and apparently the time has come finally. |

I think they are so 'late in the day' with it that it's going to take an awfully long time before they pull significant market share back from Google. I know it's not everyone's opinion but I think Google do have a very good stronghold at the moment.

Personally, I don't think they're coming in late. After all, that's what everyone thought when Google started its operation. "There are already a dozen SE in the market. Why bother?" Yet, we now know that it was even before the beginning of real SE competition among big players. |

There is a huge benefit from an SEO standpoint. As a pure advertising network, it is merely so-so

I've been seeing some benefits from using the co-op ad network recently. It could be purely that some of my sites have been coming out of the sandbox recently but they have been going up in Google quite nicely over the past month. |

Fair enough www.FinanceChoices.co.uk is only 2 months old and is currently ranked 7th out of 2.7 million for finance choices (ok, not that hard but still) |

I heard that different data centers show different results recently, but that's a whole different discussion (and one that is not related to healthcare at all).
