I notice the ad in the top right is new. Can you tell us more about where this comes from?

That's funny. You're like the 5th person who told me about referral.

Is that contextual based advertising...? ie. should the ads relate to the content on the page? What does this have going for it that AdSense doesn't?

Not really. I'm still learning about this, but, to point out a couple of things about this network, I'm not generating any revenue from this directly. It's not any contextual ad that generates revenue and competes with Google AdSense, so I'm not violating their Terms and Conditions.

Ah, yes... come to think of it, I think I tried these ads once myself. Am I right in thinking that you get 'credits' for the more ads you display (or the more clicks you get), and that gets your ad shown elsewhere?

Honestly, I don't know that well. The more pages you have, the more credit you get. The more IBL you have in SE, the more credit you get, if I understand correctly. There are a couple of rules. I'll have to keep this for a couple of months to see how this turns out.

I did away with it because I didn't feel that the link I'd be getting in return would be that useful because they are not static, fixed links.

I plan to stick around for a while, as the network plans to add other features.

One feature I'm interested in particular is ad filtering. As of right now, you see ads in all themes. Also you see ads in some foreign languages like German or some language. Ad filtering should be implemented at some point so that you can select ads in a certain theme only and in a certain language only. These ads should become more effective to everyone in the network. In fact, this should make significant improvement.

You kind of have to participate in the forum (Digital Point forum) to see what they are really doing, as there really isn't well written complete document.

It's very possible that some other people will start similar ad networks in near future. That would be interesting. Darksat was actually talking about it in his forum the other day in fact, ... Rolling Eyes .
