French schools are removing their soda and junk food vending machines to provide healthier environment to students. This perfectly makes sense if you want young students to stay healthy while they stay away from junk food. But is this their right? Can they just force you what to eat and what not to eat? |

seems a little silly in general, but health issues like this are invading schools in all countries because so many of the younger people are way overweight at younger ages now. |

Let's face it, our youth has been raised with Pepsi, Snickers and Petit Gervais and have a good chance to pass that on to the next generation. Education certainly takes place at school as well. No objection, quite on the contrary.

I think schools have the right but if I ever had kids, they'd get homeschooled or be put in a private school. Public education is a JOKE. |

THAT IS not really fair to say. there are some great public schools around me and most people can not afford private schools - and home schooling is a quick way to having kids with no social skills at all. |

Some schools here are doing the same thing; getting rid of the junk food that they sell in their cafeterias. As far as I know they still allow you to bring your own junk food if you wish, but by making only healthy foods available they hope the kids will be more likely to eat what's in front of them.

Having faith is a lot easier than doing the hard, patient work of science. |
