You ought to have long term vision in life, and when I say "long term", I'm not talking about 10 years or 20 years. 1 year makes a big difference. 2 - 3 years can make a tremendous difference. This needs to be understood. |

I don't believe one's body can produce human fat without any energy input. I believe there's a huge difference in a burger that fits in the palm of your hand, and a burger that you can hide your head behind!

Scolls wrote:So I'd be wary of a "wonderdrug"... perhaps it could make one lose weight while eating a stack, but the inputs into the body would surely remain the same? I haven't looked into this closely, so it's difficult to say, but you are generally recommended to take these drugs for a short period of time to lose weight to start the process of losing weight. You'll need to make changes in your life to lose weight and keep healthy weight without relying on drugs eventually. |

But how many people actually have any inclination to really change their lifestyles? Aren't most really looking for a "miracle cure"? |

I walk wherever I can. I suspect that this might be what our legs are for? |

What age can you get a driving licence in the USA? 16? Perhaps if licencing age was higher, teenagers would have more chance of actually walking! |

16. Scolls wrote:Perhaps if licencing age was higher, teenagers would have more chance of actually walking! It's a tricky question. Believe or not, US has one of better traffic laws, since automobile culture has been such an integral part of American culture. People should be trained to drive at a young age because they can learn so much better when they're younger. In that sense, I don't think there is anything wrong with permitting 16 years old to drive. Driving while he/she has 5, 6 friends in the same car is a different matter. Driving while drinking or taking drug is also a different matter. These things need to be regulated in my opinion. |
