Post subject: Went Swimming yesterday
Well, since the summer is back and temps are up. I decided to go swimming. I think this is going to be a nice addon to my workout schedule. I swam for about 1 1/2 hours.
How do you feel about swimming?

Great question. Sadly I don't swim although I used to be in swimming club when I was very young. I have myopia and I wear contact lens. My eye sight is quite bad, and I need to wear contact lens whatever I do. Swimming doesn't go well when I have this problem. So, it's been literally ages since I went swimming last time.

I currentl where contacts to. I use goggles when I swim and when I am diving I just close my eyes when I am under the water.
myopia might make it harder, I am not real familiar with it so I am unsure.

I actually went to the ocean last year, but it was not the smartest thing to do in retrospect. It's not that I can't swim, but it wouldn't be pretty if I lose my contact lens.

I don't think you would have as much trouble as you think. As long as you have you eyes closed under water you really have nothing to worry about. I have had contacts for years and have been swimming as long as I have had them. Never had any trouble.

I'm looking forward to the summer again... although I admittedly spent way too much time in front of this computer & waay too little at the pool!

I went swimming on Saturday, but didn't really get the opportunity to do lengths or anything like that. It was really just an opportunity to get the kids to have fun. I think it's important to get children used to the water from an early age.

Swimming is one of those things that, once you learn, you won't forget for the rest of your life. It's definitely ideal that a young child learns how to swim.

I love it, it's great exercise, I just can't always find the time to go the local public pool on their schedule
If I had a pool in the backyard however...

The earlier the better for sure! Possibly one of the best total-body workouts a kid can get while just having fun.
