Yep! Smile

Here is an interactive body model showing all the acupuncture/acupressure points - you might find it interesting to look up any points where you've ever felt 'pricks' of pain!

But shouldn't you be trained to do this? This is not something amateurs should be playing with, is it?

Has this been proven to work? Just seems a little weird and un traditional.

We just brought in an acupuncturist at work that specializes in facial rejuvination... I haven't tried it yet...but I will soon and let you know. I'll pick her brain next time she's in too and let you know what she says about it.

That'd be cool. Just seems kind of hocus pocus placebo type effect written all over it.

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying heat or electrical stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.

The modern scientific explanation is that needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain, or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system.

The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities, and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.
