Of course the materials cost something, but the end product is worth more if you look at replacement cost. See my hobby growing up was woodworking and I used to cut out the plaques that people use for tole painting, so I used to make a lot of mirrors, plant stands and quilt racks for gifts. I am not sure what type of skills you have but you may look at doing something similar.

If you can’t come up with anything, then you can look for one on the web. You can print it on a fancy paper and frame it …
