I saw one of them before. I wonder if this is real or not. If it is, it’s kind of scary.

They are quite funny if you understand them, whether they are real or not is something else.

The first one the person didn't know the answer to why the weight stopped, so they drew an elephant in the way and said because there is an elephant in the way.

In the second one you are meant to expand (a+b)^n which would be a^n + b^n but they didn't know so they made the spaces very big and wide to "expand" them.

I'm with you James - I just never got the stuff in school so its like greek to me.
but I did get that the kid didn't want to finish the work and used the elephant to get out of it, clever. If its real.

You really don't know what the second one is?

It is really easy, you multiply evertything in the brackets by the power of n.

I did that when I was like 12 Confused

One of my favourite school work mistakes is the quote:

Sir Francis Drake circumcised the world with a 100 foot clipper.

yeah, before the teachers all hated me, whenever I did something wrong I got thrown out of class but others did worse things and didn't so I didnt go to school.

but now I go all the time, only when I am sick do I not go, so its good and I get good grades now Smile

It's good to pay attention at school.

There are always examples of school drop-outs that have succeeded in a major way, but they are the exception to the rule.

Yeah, some people think its easy to drop out and earn big because they have heard lots of stories.

The thing is they haven't heard about the bad ones because they would get no publicity, for obvious reasons.
