Post subject: Could you work in healthcare?

Whilst I am full of admiration for people who work in healthcare, I don't think it's a job I could do. I think I would find it just too much... too depressing sometimes. Of course it depends in precisely where you work within the industry, but in most departments you are likely to see or hear of some very bad incidents sometimes. It'd never be a job for me, I don't think. What about you?

way to depressing for me. it is literally almost all negative. sure some people recover, but they were sick to start with.

I know that I couldn't.
The seeing all of those people, usually in pain, and having to help them with it all the while keeping yourself in check would be hard, very stressful.

I have a lot of friends and family that work in health care from social services to nurses and doctors. The nurses tell stories that would make you shake your head, stuff that they laugh about but I am sure that I would not be able to handle it.

nurses have about the worst job. just horrible what they have to see day in and day out.

Nurses have a very demanding and tough job. Thankfully they comfort themselves with the knowledge they get to see loads of willies. That's why they do the job, don't let any nurses tell you any different.

I couldn't do it. I don't have the patience for it I don't think. That and I absolutely hate hospitals and clinics.

It's certainly not a job for me and all my respect to anyone who works in health care. I can't see blood. Well, not big quantities. I'd need my personal nurse to be able to do the job.
