Post subject: Is cider good for you?
Half a pint of cider is packed wtih the same amount of antioxidants as a glass of red wine. Do you think cider is good for you?

I don't know the answer, but from what I understand, the way in which substance is consumed often becomes a problem. For example, nicotine itself won't cause cancer, but the way in which nicotine is consumed, i.e., smoking, can cause cancer. Doesn't this also apply to cigar though you don't inhale smoke?

I'm talking about cider here, not cigars... I don't think you get it in the US, but there's a drink over here called cider which is basically an alcoholic drink made from apples...

I completely misread it . Maybe it's because I just woke up when I read this. Anyway, yeah, I had cider and I liked it, though I don't think it's the most popular drink in US. I can kind of see how cider can be beneficial to you. Beer is made from malts which is a carbon dioxide while cider is made from apple which is a fruit and wine is made from vine, grape, which is also a fruit.

I don't see why not. I've ready studies stating that dark beer is healthier then lighter color beers, and that lite beers don't have the same benifits as regular beers. But I'm sure in a few years a study will come out and say its all bad, then in a few more years, another study will say its good.
As long as it is consumed responsibly, I say its good.

Yes, cider is good, but it's wise not to overdrink it.

The cider I drink is non-alcoholic and differs from apple juice in that they don't filter out the fiber and it's made with the peel still on so you get more nutrients. I'm sure it does have more sugar then some drinks but it can't possibly be as bad as say, soda.

It sure is, but best without so much added sulfites.
